The inaugural issue of the Honolulu based lifestyle magazine, Abstract Magazine. This award winning magazine is known for it's colorful covers, interesting topics, and great design.

We struggled for a bit on what the 1st cover should be. We decided to go with a single A on the cover. Since it was a downtown Honolulu based magazine we looked at some of the old typography in the area and found quite a few old world European type and embellishment. With that we choose the "A" and added just the right about of embellishment.
